Border collies are effective at reducing gull congregation on recreational beaches, resulting in lower E. coli abundance in the sand. Gull droppings may be one source of the indicator bacterium Escherichia coli to beach water, which can lead to swim advisories and beach closings.

The testing being done to see if dogs can in fact sniff out cancer in a similar way to the various other organic compounds they have been trained to pick up. So far, the testing has about a 98% accuracy as to dogs being able to detect prostate cancer.

Este Beagle muito esperto descobriu uma forma de ter acesso ao balcão da cozinha. Segundo o autor do vídeo, ele decidiu colocar uma câmera após reparar que a cadeira da cozinha se encontrava sempre em uma lugar diferente toda vez que saía de casa.
