This story is short but sweet:
We adopted Jasmine, a puppy mill survivor, in 2010. She failed in two experienced foster homes before we found her and she was utterly terrified in the shelter.
The staff had tears in their eyes when we adopted her. They were thinking it may be more humane to euthanize her than make her live in terror in a cage and they were so happy to see her adopted.
With lots of patience, not only is she now a lap dog, she decided she needed to be even closer and lays on my chest to watch tv. She has made tremendous strides over four years in little baby steps. Yeah, Jazzy!
