Unlikely Bonded Pair Needs Our Help Finding Forever Home

6.28.15 - Scott and Grover

Scott and Grover are a bit of a mismatch, but are an extremely bonded pair of dogs.  Scott is a five-year-old mastiff, and Grover is an eight-year-old Shih Tzu.  Both are neutered, and housebroken, and it would be an awful thing if they had to be separated.  You can view the original posting of their story on Facebook, by clicking here.

URGENT!!!! MOST ADORABLE Bonded Pair!!!  SWEET Mastiff & Shih Tzu!!!!!  Washington Co., MD Shelter!!!!!!
Please cross-post if you are able, and forward to any other cross posting groups so we can find these dogs the right home!

Scott and Grover have an unlikely friendship, but they are an extremely bonded pair.  Scott is a five year old neutered, (overweight) Mastiff who is up to date on all vaccinations.  His best friend, Grover is an 8 year old neutered Shih Tzu who is also utd on all vaccinations.  This pair is extremely bonded and Scott is very protective of Grover when it comes to other dogs.  Both dogs are sweet but they are going to be a difficult placement as we want to keep them together.  They were owner surrendered to us due to the owners moving.

They were adopted out to a large family on Monday, however they have come back because with six active children, it was too much for this mellow duo.  They told us that the dogs were great, but there was just too much going on in the household and the pups were quite stressed.

Scott does not show well in a kennel due to his protective instincts where Grover is concerned, but our volunteers have been walking this pair together and they are great on leash as a couple.  Due to his protectiveness of Grover, they should be the only two dogs in the home.

Please help if you can to spread the word to get our Odd Couple a home!
