Looking for Someone to Trust

Blitz shake paw (2) Blitz was found tethered to a telephone pole a few years ago in Georgia by a homeless gentleman. The man loved Blitz and they both moved to New Hampshire together.

However, when he realized that he could not take care of Blitz any longer, this man did the right thing and surrendered him to Above the Notch Humane Society, a rescue organization in Northern New Hampshire.

Blitz is a neutered Staffordshire Terrier, approximately 7 years old. As a result of his difficult background, Blitz tends to be untrusting of people that he does not know. He continues to receive training for some of his issues.

The staff and volunteers at Above the Notch are confident that Blitz will eventually find the perfect home, though!  They know that the right person who is patient enough to work their way into Blitz’s hear will come and he can have forever love.

Due to Blitz’s special needs, it is recommended that he find a home without small children and that he be the only animal in the household.

Blitz is accepting of some dogs and loves to play ball. He has a circle of human friends that have been working very hard with him and he is quite friendly to them. Once you gain his trust, you see a new side of him!

If you feel that you are that special someone for Blitz, please contact Above the Notch Humane Society at atnhs.email@gmail.com or call 1-888-269-3042 .

Above the Notch Humane Society is a 501(C)3, non-profit rescue organization serving the northern New Hampshire communities of Littleton, Franconia, Sugar Hill, Whitefield, Monroe, Bath, Lisbon and Landaff, among others. Their mission is to provide care and protection for abused, stray and unwanted dogs within their surrounding communities and to provide education to the public in the areas of proper pet care and welfare.

They have provided these services for more than a decade and have recently been involved in helping towns with animal cruelty cases and working more aggressively with shelters, who have been assisting them in finding new homes for dogs. Each dog that is brought is given all necessary care until either an owner is found or they are put up for adoption.
