In April, we told you about the heroic actions of Dallas Police Officers who rescued a large dog seeking refuge behind a big box store at 2:30 a.m., instead of scaring away the canine from the property. Those officers saved Martin’s life (the dog).
Read “Dallas Police and Rescue Group Work Together to Help Dog” to learn more about Martin’s rescue.
When the officers found Martin, they reached out to DuckTeam6 (DT6) to have the gentle soul taken off the streets and shown love. DT6 agreed to pick him up that early morning and help locate his owners. Unfortunately, no one was looking for Martin and the organization made arrangements to move the pet into foster care and get him ready for adoption.
Martin continues to wait for someone he can call his own, but mean while he is getting plenty of TLC at his foster home
“Martin is loving life off the streets and is having a great time with his wonderful foster family!” posted DT6 on their Facebook wall.
This lucky dog is kid friendly and gets along great with other dogs. Right now he is undergoing treatment for heartworm but nothing would help him heal faster than finding his forever home.
DT6 is asking for donations to help cover his $275 heartworm treatment. If you would like to donate towards his medical care, please visit DT6′s website.
If you want to adopt Martin you can fill in an adoption application at http://duckteam6.org/adoption-application/. His adoption fee is $200 and covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and heartworm treatment.
