Rocky, a German shepherd from Mission Viejo, Calif., chewed off his back, right paw to free himself from a tether he had been tied to. He had no other option than to do this. It is believed the chain or rope used as a tether, wrapped around his leg and cut off any circulation to his limb.

Firefighters from Valencia, Spain, came to the rescue of a small puppy whose curiosity got him into trouble. The puppy got his head stuck underneath a vehicle’s front seat.

With the colder weather coming for most of us here in the United States, and many other places abroad, the time to remember our furry friends is here more than ever.  There are so many abandoned dogs out there, tired of life on the streets with no food and shelter.

  Brrr, it’s getting pretty chilly out, and some days, staying in bed is just the only thing to do!
