When Meg, a three legged dog rescued in 2008 from Rochdale’s RSPCA started whimpering at the rescue center’s ceiling, her owner and facility manager, Jean Spencer, knew there was something wrong. Upon investigating, Spencer found five kittens trapped in the ceiling. Those cute little kittens are alive and safe today thanks to Meg.
On June 25, 2014, a heroic five pound Chihuahua named Chloe saved its family and four-legged sibling from dying in a house fire that started in the home’s garage.
The house, located on south 329th Street and 29th Avenue, in Federal Way, Wash., caught fire early morning. Its residents suffered from smoke inhalation, but thanks to Chloe, they are alive today.
When Rudy Vonda from Juneau, Alaska, received a phone call telling him his lost wallet had been found, he had no idea what the person on the other end of the phone was referring to. It happens that Vonda unknowingly lost his wallet on the job, and a seven-months-old Maltese, named Bunny, retrieved it and took it home for her owners to see.
Vonda works as sanitation worker with Pacific Waste Management and drives a North Douglas route on Monday mornings. While working, he accidentally dropped his wallet, but lucky for him Bunny found it.
At Johns Creek Harbor, Australia, a dog that was once homeless and malnourished went from being stray and lonely, to loved and spoiled. Everyone at the harbor loved the stray, but for Franz Van Derpoll, the lonely dog went from being the community pet to becoming his best friend and life savior.
The stray dog was named Sky and she became Derpoll’s constant companion.
