Whether human or dog, one thing holds true for the both of us:  you have to learn how to walk at some point.  We all learn at different rates, and sometimes we’re born with issues that make it hard, if not impossible, to learn how it works.  At the end of the day, it’s just a necessary part of life.

A couple from Pennsylvania were driving on Route 209 in the Marshalls Creek area on March 1, 2015, when they saw a black Pit bull lying on snow, unable to stand on his own. The dog seemed hopeless and if it wasn’t for the couple, the stray would have died within hours.

The good Samaritans picked up the dog and took him to AWSOM Animal Shelter, where staff couldn’t believe the extent of his abuse.

On February 17, 2015, a Tampa, Fla., Bullmastiff mix named Legend saved his owners from armed robbers who broke into their home.

When Trinity was found last month in Lexington, Ky., she was scared, hungry, pregnant and injured. The stray dog was caught in a hunting trap and lost her right rear leg. She somehow free herself from the trap and wandered into a law office in Floyd County, where Good Samaritans rescued her and took her to Woodstock Spay and Neuter Clinic.
