In July, 2013, Wilbur was found abandoned on a driveway, cooped up in a small kennel with several cats. He and the cats were in bad shape but had at least been dropped off in a public place where they would be found.
“When I saw her it was like everything just flooded back at once. It was like, that's her!” April Helland said. “It was just so overwhelmingly emotional for me.”
“My wife was in tears, as she left him, saying, ‘I am sorry, I am sorry,’” the husband said. “He’s being well taken care of and, boy, we’re just so extremely grateful.”
A senior dog suffering from noncontagious demodectic mange was left outside a shelter with a heart-breaking note. Luckily for the pet, he was given a second chance in life and he is now trying to get back home.
