Eldad Hagar and the Hope for Paws crew have rescued yet another dog. This poor pit bull was tortured by neighborhood kids.  They would throw rocks at him, and beat on him.  Thanks to a good Samaritan placing a call to the Hope for Paws gang, this poor, tortured soul is in good hands.

On August 21, 2014, a Pit bull mix gave California drivers an evening to remember. The pooch was running loose on the 710 Freeway and Los Angeles area commuters joined forces to rescue the dog, avoiding a tragic accident.

The idea came from a dog sitting company run out of Maybee, Michigan.  They posted this video to their Facebook, and the fans went wild.  Now it seems puppy pool parties are popping up all over social media websites, complete with dogs beating the summer heat.

By now you’ve probably seen dozens of friends and celebrities taking the ice bucket challenge to help raise money for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s disease. (Many are soaking themselves AND donating, which is what’s important.)  So far over $30 million has been raised this way, and these dogs are doing their part!
