On May 25, 2014, Larae Beck’s two dogs went out for a walk around the Beck’s large property in Farmington, Utah, but only one of the dogs returned home. Libby, a Labrador, was trapped on a ledge inside a river with white water rafting conditions. She was scared and cold, but thanks to a kindhearted family that heard her cries, the canine was saved and pulled from the fast flowing river.
On June 5, 2014, a concerned St. Louis, Mo., citizen contacted police and informed them of an abandoned dog in a garbage dumpster on the 4700 block of Hammett Place. Officers were dispatched to the location and they found a scared and malnourished female, terrier mix puppy, cowering inside the garbage bin.
The dog was pulled from the container and taken to Stray Rescue where she is being cared for and nursed back to health. She was named Little Kimmy.
Eddie is a dog that has been saved twice now. Once from a shelter in the Bahamas, and most recently, from traffic going along Colorado Boulevard, just before Fifth Avenue, by a local police officer.
A woman driving in the tunnel spotted the loose dog and she knew she had to do something to rescue it. With the help of another motorist the tiny pet was brought to safety.
