A New York City dog who was missing for months has finally been return to his dispirited owner, and all BECAUSE of the snowstorm that shut down the city.

The following description was included with the original video on YouTube.com:

“Pumpkin was an abused and abandoned young dog trying to survive on Houston’s harsh streets. Watch this little dog’s remarkable and inspiring story.  Oh, and a “foster failure” is a good thing.  It means the foster mom became forever mom.”

Seventy-eight-year-old Sue Prickett was out walking her terrier named Suki and a friend’s dog in the woods of Sherborne, Dorset, when Suki ran off and fell into a deep hole getting trapped. The pet owner tried pulling her dog out but the pet cried out in pain and slipped deeper into the hole. It was late and dark, and if it wasn’t for the power of social media, Suki would have died in the hole.

A dog that fell through the ice at a treatment plant in Illinois had his life saved by his dog friend, who led people over to rescue him.

In November 2014, we told you about Isis, a malnourished Rottweiler abandoned in an Youngstown, Ohio home for more than a week. One of the men who helped rescued her, Youngstown firefighter Kyle Trimble adopted her just a few days after her rescue.
