Stray Dog Caught in Hunting Trap Gets Rescued

When Trinity was found last month in Lexington, Ky., she was scared, hungry, pregnant and injured. The stray dog was caught in a hunting trap and lost her right rear leg. She somehow free herself from the trap and wandered into a law office in Floyd County, where Good Samaritans rescued her and took her to Woodstock Spay and Neuter Clinic.

Fort Myers Firefighters Pull Dachshund from Burning Apartment

It was close to noon on February 15, 2015, when Fort Myers, Fla. firefighters arrived on 1415 Dean St. apartment complex to help put out a fire. Rescuers were told no persons were trapped in the fire, but little did the heroes know that a long-haired dachshund named Bailey was fighting for his life inside the smoke-filled residence.

While firefighters fought the flames the tenants informed the rescue unit there was a pet was trapped in the flames.

German Shepherd Found Frozen to Ground Six Days After Getting Lost

For Allentown, New Jersey resident, Dina Alborano, February 4, 2015, and the subsequent days were just a nightmare. Alborano’s six-year old German Shepherd, named River, got out of her backyard and got lost in the woods. He was found clinging to life and frozen to the ground 5.5 miles away from home.

Dog That Fell 30 Feet Down Jagged Canyon Wall Gets Rescued

Audi, a two-year-old Labrador from Boise, Idaho, fell 30 feet down Dedication Point between Kuna and Swan Falls Dam on January 26, 2015, while she was out on a walk with her owner and needed the help of skilled rescue climbers to be hoisted out to safety. Thankfully, the Kuna Fire Department responded to the emergency call and helped Audi get back up on safe ground.

Hero Needed His Own Heroes to Make it Out of Freezing Waters

On February 15, 2015, Hero, a two-year-old Australian cattle dog from Southwest Harbor, Maine, needed the local fire department to come to his rescue and pull him out of freezing waters after the curious dog fell through thin ice during his last potty break of the day.

The cattle dog is used to venturing outside on his own to do his business, but on this night, instead of coming back home within 15 minutes as he usually does, Hero was nowhere to be found. The dog’s owner, Jeremy Doe, went outside to look for his pet, he followed dog tracks that led him to the harbor.
