On July 21, 2014, Tom, a terrier mix dog from Chaco, Argentina, got stranded on a small island inside a lagoon. His owner, Marta Avila, was desperate to rescue him, and having no one to turn to, she called local animal rescue group, Fundación Pequeñas Huellitas, for help.

Who could abandon a pregnant dog with deformed legs? Well, this is the question The Cortland Community SPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement Department wants answered.

Little Lady, a possible Kelpie and reddish in color, was found on June 29, 2014, on the front lawn of a Cortlandville, New York, home. The homeowner contacted the SPCA and the organization immediately came to rescue the pet.

Carl Birtwistle and Paula Gerrard took their Cocker spaniels Eric and Henry for a walk in Blackburn, Lancashire, England, but their leisure walk turned into a frantic dog rescue when one of their dogs wedged himself in between two large boulders and got stuck.

Eric, a nine-year-old black Cocker spaniel somehow pushed his head and neck in between two large rocks getting lodged in the gap. His humans frantically tried to free him but weren’t able to pull him out right away.
