At the end of August, a Pit bull mix from Lexinton, Ky., was found tied to a fence on Campbell St. What was shocking about the abandoned dog wasn’t how she was left tied to the fence, but rather the abuse she was put through prior to getting dumped. The eight-month-old dog had a profane word branded on her fur.

Lucy a rescue dog from Greensboro ,N.C., suffered from Legg-Calve Perthes disease (LPC) and on a routine vet check her illness was discovered. Her loving owner, a single mother, worried she wouldn’t be able to pay for her pet’s necessary and expensive surgery, but pet surgeon and pilot Dr. David T. Crouch offered to help and at no cost.

Buck-O is Scott Clare’s furry best friend.  When Scott’s wife passed away, Buck-O not only filled a huge gap in his life, but taught him it was okay to love again.  So when it came time to get Buck-O fixed, vets noticed something wasn’t quite right, and Scott knew something had to be done, and quick.

Rover, a 3 year old Chihuahua, has recently had a dramatic change in his life circumstances. Rover’s luck had practically run out when he was found as a stray in one of the local shelters. He had injured his foot and it appeared he would need an amputation, an operation that the local shelter did not have money for.
