On Tuesday night an Australian shepherd named Molly was hit by a plow truck. The accident broke all four of her limbs and she desperately needs surgery to survive.
The bond between Kaelyn Krawczyk and her service dog is strong. Kaelyn suffers from a rare disorder that causes allergic reactions with little warning. JJ is so skilled at detecting when Kaelyn is having a reaction that when she underwent surgery this week the doctors wanted JJ there with her.
“They are the best dogs we have in the facility, just the bond they have together, and the love and compassion, and these dogs show you what friendship is all about,” said Candice Veach.
“Harley is a cherished member of our family. He rarely leaves our side. His boundless love of life gets us through the difficult times and makes the good times even better.”
Saying goodbye to a dog is always difficult. One family in Australia honored their dog Phoebe in a simple but special way that has touched people all over the world.
