On Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, a woman from St-Ignace-de-Loyola, Que., spotted a dog on top of a thin sheet of ice floating down the St. Lawrence River. The woman and her mother, France Allaire, contacted authorities for help, however no one came to save dog.

Medo, a dog from Peroj, Croatia, cannot bark between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., this after a court declared the dog’s barks as public nuisance and if the pet doesn’t follow the law, his owners will have to pay more than $2,900 in fines.

In Lima, Peru, a pet owner hopped on a public bus and didn’t realize his dog named Ramon had followed him to the bus stop. The loyal and persistent dog ran after the bus for a few miles until he was allowed to ride the bus as well.
