For any parent, finding out your child has gone down the wrong path is a hard blow to take, but learning that your 11-year-old son stabbed and killed the family pet is just devastating.

An unidentified family from Middleburg, Fla., is struggling to understand why their 11-year-old son decided to end “Jade’s” life. Jade was a seven-month-old female, rescue dog.

There seems to be an epidemic of law enforcement officers shooting pets in our nation. News reports are filled with unjustified shootings of dogs, and police officers simply say the dog in question posed a threat to their jobs and lives.

Back in September we told you about a small dog found abandoned inside a garbage container in Jurapa Valley, Calif. The dog had been left in the garbage bin over night, but thanks to a concerned citizen, the pet was rescued and taken to the local Animal Control facility.

On Sunday, October 12, 2014, Spartacus a Pit bull from the Hyde Park area in South L.A. required surgery to close up multiple stab wounds. More than 1,000 stitches were done to patch up the sweet dog.

On September 21, 2014, a one-year-old terrier-pit bull mix was found injured in a New Orleans backyard. The dog was found with an arrow lodged in his body and the pet miraculously survived.
