Escape Artist Dog Gets Stranded on 2nd-Story Ledge

For a New Jersey Chow mix dog who escaped his 2nd-story apartment, his freedom went as far as the length of the apartment building’s 2nd-story ledge. The pet was spotted stranded on the ledge by neighbors, and they called local firefighters to come rescue the dog.

Mischievous Dog Tries to Run Away and Gets Stuck in Wall

A Dachshund named Chip from Phoenix, Ariz., spent the night with its head stuck in a cinder-block wall, after it attempted to run away from home. His owner had no idea what the dog had been up to, and only found out about the dog’s entrapment when area firefighters arrived at the residence to free the small pet.

Early this Monday morning firefighters in Dallas, Texas saved the life of a dog from a fire at a single story home.  The fire broke out just after midnight.  By the time help arrived, the fire was very visibly, and very rapidly burning throughout the home.

Dog Stuck in Fence for over Ten Hours Gets Rescued

On July 12, 2014, a medium size dog from Fresno, Calif., got stuck in between the bars of an iron fence when it tried to escape from its own backyard. Luckily for the canine, a concerned neighbor saw the dog in trouble and called firefighters to come and rescue it.

Firefighters from Engine 17 used a hydraulic spreader to widened the gap between the bars and free the pet.

Firefighters Free Dog Trapped Underneath Dishwasher

On Wednesday, June 25, 2014, firefighters from Tinton Falls, New Jersey, rescued Sambuca, a small 18-month-old miniature Schnauzer, from an unusual place. The canine somehow wedged himself underneath the dishwasher and got stuck.

Dog Trapped in Fire Saves Family from Blaze

On June 25, 2014, a heroic five pound Chihuahua named Chloe saved its family and four-legged sibling from dying in a house fire that started in the home’s garage.

The house, located on south 329th Street and 29th Avenue, in Federal Way, Wash., caught fire early morning. Its residents suffered from smoke inhalation, but thanks to Chloe, they are alive today.
