Lost Dog Travels 120 Miles Before Found

During Christmas 2014, Rach Kelsey and her dog named Texas Joe were in a car accident in Houston. The accident spooked the dog making him run away. The pet got lost and no one knew his whereabouts for four months. This week, the lost dog turned up behind a hotel in Hearne, Texas, 120 miles away from where he was initially lost. Thanks to a rescue organization and volunteer transporters, the dog and his owner will reunite this Saturday.

Dog Saves Owners After Neighbor Sets Home on Fire

Gladis Silgado is alive today thanks to her loyal dog who barked and woke her up while her home was consumed by a ravaging fire. The woman never imagined that after having a heated discussion with her neighbor, Cristóbal Montero Medina, the man would try to kill her and her teenage daughter by setting their house on fire, but that’s just what happened in Cartagena, Colombia, on April 9, 2015.

Man Jumps into Dirty Canal Waters to Save Stray Dog

No one knows how a mutt ended it up trapped in the dirty waters of a canal in Cali, Colombia, but what everyone does know is that a heroic man, stripped off his work clothes to jump into the canal and save the dog.

A large group of people gathered around the canal to witness how a man, with the help of two policemen, helped saved a dog trapped in the canal. The dog was hardly visible from the street, the canine was not moving and he rested in the dark waters surrounded by garbage.

Community Saves 15-year-Old Dog Tossed in Garbage

Miriam Jimeno and Carlota Román from Valladolid, Spain, knew something was wrong when they heard muffled barks coming from a nearby garbage container. When the two woman came close to the large metal box they knew for sure there was a dog trapped inside the container. Someone tossed a pet in the locked automatic garbage disposal and the pet had no way out. Luckily, the women and other concerned neighbors called for help and authorities came to save the dog.

Authorities Rescue Dog Living in Back of Truck

Thanks to concerned neighbors, a dog that spent three months living in the back of a truck in Arica, Chile, with no access to the outside world and limited access to food and water has been rescued by animal rescuers and police officers.

The black dog has never seen the inside of his owner’s home. Neighbors called authorities to report the abuse and officers were dispatched to the location. When they arrived, they found a malnourished dog living among garbage and his own feces. The pet had no food or water at the time and had little shelter in the back of the pick up truck.
