A dog from Winkler, Manitoba, never expected to fall 24.6 feet down an old well, but while he slept on top of the well’s cover, the old and rotten wooden top gave way trapping the dog in a dangerous situation. Its owner called local firefighters after he couldn’t reach and rescue his dog.
Ann Bendouli and her dog Lexy were walking on Hampton Beach in Melbourne, Australia in an off-leash area when another dog came from nowhere and started attacking Lexy. In an odd but ingenious move, Ann stuck her pointer finger up one of the dog’s hindquarters and the attack stopped.
On August 19, 2014, four individuals were seen abusing a black, mixed dog in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Witnesses called police to put a stop to eh abuse and thanks to them and the fast acting police officers, the dog’s life was saved.
When Cambridge University master Roger Mosey accepted a job offer back in October of 2013, he feared he wouldn’t be able to bring Yoyo, his bassett hound to live with him at Selwyn College. The university had a policy stating that the only pets allowed were cats, but Mosey found a clever way to keep his companion pet with him. The pet owner and former editorial director of the BBC, convinced the college council that Yoyo was not a dog but rather a “very large cat.”
